Luke 13:18-19 Then He said, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a large tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.”

    • Power is not in the SIZE of the seed but in the SUBSTANCE of the seed!

Zechariah 4:10 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying: For who has despised the day of small things?

    Substance leads to significance

Luke 19:17 And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’

    (ルカ13:18-19 JA) そこで言われた、「神の国は何に似ているか。またそれを何にたとえようか。 一粒のからし種のようなものである。ある人がそれを取って庭にまくと、育って木となり、空の鳥もその枝に宿るようになる」

    The Choices of Esther

Choice 1- To maintain an excellent attitude in life or not?

-The difficult past. She was an orphan. Where was God when ... ? Yet being brought up under Mordecai.

(Esther 2:7) Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother. This girl, who was also known as Esther, was lovely in form and features, and Mordecai had taken her as his own daughter when her father and mother died.

Choice 2- To give up personal freedoms or not.

-To enter a beauty contest meant a lot of sacrifices.

(1 Corinthians 9:22-23) To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. (23) I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

Choice 3 – To risk it all for what is right?

(Esther 4:14) For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?

(Esther 4:16b) When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.

-Great Choices lead to great outcomes.

-She got a great marriage, family, respect, God’s favour on her whole life.

  • When in a testing time… do these 3 things

    - Jehoshaphat gets a bad report
(2 Chronicles20:2a) Some people came and told Jehoshaphat, “A vast army is coming against you from Edom, from the other side of the Dead Sea.

    3 Things.
    1. Cry out to God in a spirit of faith
(2 Chronicles 20:3,6,12) Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. (6) and said: “Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you. (12) Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

(1 Peter 5:7) Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

    2. Look to leaders with courage
(2 Chronicles 20:14-15,20) Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly. (15) He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. (20) Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.”

3.Praise him with a loud voice!
(2 Chronicles 20:21,28-29) After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: “Give thanks to the Lord, for his love endures forever.” (28) They entered Jerusalem and went to the temple of the Lord with harps and lyres and trumpets. (29) The fear of God came on all the surrounding kingdoms when they heard how the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel.

  • Gods changed things when we have faith

(Romans 4:16-21) Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. (17) As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. (18) Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” (19) Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. (20) Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, (21) being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

    Abraham believed God was able

1.To change dead this into life

2.To call things that are not real into real things

    3. To do anything
(Mark 11:22-24) “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. (23) “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. (24) Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

    1. The Principle of Multiplication
(Romans 11:16) If the part of the dough offered as first fruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.

    2. Breaking the Love of Money
(Matthew 6:24) No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

(1 Timothy 6:10a) For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.

    3. It Takes A Heart Transplant
(Luke 6:38) Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

(Proverbs 16:2) All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.

  • The natural fruit of the Holy Spirit’s Presence -(More Spirit, more fruit)!

    This year’s Bible verse:
(Psalm 16:11) You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

1.The fruit of the Holy Spirit
(Galatians 5:22-23) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

-The Fruit produced/generated by the Holy Spirit
-The Fruit that originates only with the Holy Spiri
-The Fruit belonging to the Holy Spirit. Where he is, these
(2 Corinthians 3:17) Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

    2.The works of the flesh
(Galatians 5:19-21) The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; (20) idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions (21) and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

    3.The Spirit led life
    Keep in step
(Galatians 5:24-25) Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (25) Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

(Romans 8:6) The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

(Romans 8:9-11) You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (10) But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. (11) And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

    2015年 羊年!

(Romans 3:20 NLT) For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.

(Isaiah 64:6 NLT) We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.

-2015 – The year of the sheep (Jesus’ Grace)
(John 1:29 NLT) The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

(Romans 3:21-22 NLT) But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. (22) We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.

    我 + 羊 Me + Sheep
    我 + 羊 = 義 Me + Sheep = Righteousness
義 = 羊が自分を覆っている Righteousness = Lamb Covering Me

    1. I am 100% righteous. Always righteous.
(Isaiah 61:10a NLT) I am overwhelmed with joy in the LORD my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness.

(Romans 3:27-28 NLT) Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. (28) So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.

    2. I can live guilt free. No condemnation.
(Romans 8:1-3 NLT)So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

    3. I am ready to do something great for Jesus
(Ephesians 2:10 AMP) For we are God’s own handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, born anew that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us taking paths which He prepared ahead of time, that we should walk in them living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live.

    Life Group Questions and Prayer
    1. Why are our good deeds, never going to be good enough?
    2. How do we become righteous?
    3. Are you righteous through faith in Jesus? If so, what should our response be? If not, would you like to be?

    -Everywhere you see
(Genesis 12:1-3) The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. (2) “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. (3) I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

(Genesis 13:14-17) The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. (15) All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. (16) I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. (17) Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.”

1.Lift up your eyes and look

2.Know the promises and the goodness of God who Promises
(Romans 4:16) Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.

3.Walk through the land… And believe
(Romans 4:17) As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.
